Show MAGAZINE CITES - FINE WORK OF TOWNSPEOPLE An interesting article appears in the Icelandic, Canadian magazine, maga-zine, summer edition, which states that two people in the matter of contributions, have rendered great service to the magazine, one of these being J. Y. Bearnson of Springville. The magazine article entitled, "Salue To Our Readers," points out that the Bearnsons (Mrs. Kate B. Carter, Salt Lake City, Mrs. ' Eleanor B. Jarvis, Spanish Fork, and John Y. Bearnson) have sent books, pamphlets and clippings concerning the Icelandic pioneers in Utah, all of which have been greatly appreciated by the magazine. maga-zine. In another article, a short history his-tory of Mrs. Kate B. Carter is given giv-en and tribute is paid her as one of the outstanding citizens of Utah a leader in literary achievement, who as state president of the D. U. P., has compiled seven volumes vol-umes of "Heart Throbs of The West," and is working on her eighth book. ' . |
