Show Ned Blacket Marries Ogden Girl, Friday . Announcement is made of the marriage of Ned Blackett, son of Mrs. Earl Blackett of this city, and Ruth McFarland of Ogden, which took place in Ogden last Friday evening. Mr. Blackett has been employed in a grocery store in Ogden for some time and the couple will make their home in that citv. r THE THRIFTY STITCHERS ENJOYED AN OUTING at Camp Canyon. Glen in Provo canyon recently. The group enjoyed enjoy-ed a 6 o'clock breakfast cooked over an open fireplace and also a delicious luncheon at noon. A delightful de-lightful time was also spent hiking. THE SEWING SISTERS 4-II CLUB MET Thursday at the home of their leader, Mrs. Evelyn Boyer. The group conducted their regular work and after the meeting enjoyed enjoy-ed a bicycle ride and pot luck lunch. Officers of the club include: Beverly Bev-erly Haymond, president; Glenna Hatch, vice-president; Delia Rae Hancock, secretary; Nida Menden-hall, Menden-hall, song leader; Lula Jean Logan Lo-gan and Merlene Johnson, reporters; report-ers; Mary Lou Wheeler, Phyllis Larsen, fun committee. THE JUNIOR LEGION AUXILIARY ENTERTAINED at a garden party on Monday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Inez Chader. Cha-der. Mrs. Chader, chairman of the Junior Auxiliary work, and Shirley Shir-ley Clark, were hostesses. The group enjoyed a weiner roast, together with games and social so-cial conversation. AVE DELMA CLUB MEMBERS MET Tuesday evening for a weiner roast in the large open fireplace at the home of Mrs. Inez Chader. The party replaced the annual canyon summer party of the club and the group enjoyed bicycling during the early evening, later assembling as-sembling at the Chader home for lunch. |
