Thursday night saw two of the 3 outstanding games on the park i-;. played. Bates & Rogers upset the leading Park Inn club 10 to 9 in an 11-inning battle. Although the Park. Inners lost, their efforts in overcoming a 5 to 0 first-inning rally by the B. & R. team were not without recognition. In the other game, Springville Garage defeated the Jaycees 2 to 0 in a well-played game. Neither team was able to collect but one hit until the last of the sixth inning. Roylance, pitching for the Garagemen, and Hansen, for the Jaycees, did some nice chucking during the game. Next Tuesday night the Springville Spring-ville Garage will tangle with the Jaycees at 8 p. m., followed by the 118. Park Inn tilt at 9:15. All Commercial games are free to the public. |
