Show FIREMEN KEPT BUSY WITH GRASS BLAZES Local firemen this week issued a warning to townspeople to take extra precaution against fires following fol-lowing several blazes started in dry grass by children and matches. It is further pointed out that weeds and grass in many places is dry atthis time of year and often a lighted match dropped carelessly in dry grass may result in considerable con-siderable damage. Of five alarms sent in, four were for grass fires, firemen reported. re-ported. Although little damage was done, in some cases considerable property was endangered. The fire Monday was on a car belonging to George Wilson, with but $10 damage done. |
