Nichols, local business man, announces his candidacy for the nomination on the Democratic ticket for the office of county commissioner for the four-year term. Mr. Nichols was born in southern south-ern Georgia and came to Utah in 1915. He spent some time in Springville at that time, and married mar-ried Edna Amos of Payson. He moved to Salt Lake City, where he traveled for the Intemountain Electric company, and was factory representative for the Ford Motor company for some time throughout through-out Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. He returned to Springville in 1924 and established an auto agency. He moved to Payson in June, 1930. When the National Reemployment Reemploy-ment Service was organized in 1933, Mr. Nichols was appointed manager of the Provo office. He resigned from this post after two years to take a position as road inspector for the state road commission. com-mission. In 1939 he reentered the automobile auto-mobile business. His garage and business are located in Springville. In announcing his candidacy, Mr. Nichols said: "I feel I have a lot of friends in Utah county, and if elected I will do my best to justify jus-tify their faith in me." |
