Show GIRLS SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT Beth Averett, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Averett, suffered suffer-ed a broken pelvis bone and arm and head injuries in a bicycle-bus accident late last Friday night on the Main highway at about 801 North Main street. She was taken to the Utah Valley hospital. A companion, Janalee Ransdell, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ransdell, also suffered painful body cuts and bruises and after treatment at the hospital was returned re-turned to her home on Saturday. According to report by City Marshal William Bringhurst, the bus driven by Earl C. Ryan of Salt Lake City, turned out for another car and as it did so struck the bicycle bi-cycle on which both girls were riding. The driver said he did not see the bicycle in time to avert the accident. Both were traveling in the same direction, officers reported. |
