Show SUCCESS MARKS DIST. 4-H CLUB OUTING Swimming, Luncheon, Program Form Entertainment At Annual 4-H Club Meeting A large group of Springville 4-H club members attended a district campfire outing at Park Ro-She Saturday afternoon and evening. Assisting with the outing were the various club leaders under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Etta Jones, supervisor. super-visor. The young club members enjoyed swimming and other sports during the afternoon and assembled for lunch at about 6 o'clock. Later an interesting program was presented present-ed by representatives of most of the clubs. Each talk featured some phase of club work in connection with the national war effort program. pro-gram. The pledge of allegiance and 4-H club pledge, together with the candle-lighting ceremony, were effective ef-fective parts on the program. Mrs. Bessie K. Lemon, Utah county extension agent, complimented compli-mented the clubs of the district on their accomplishmens and encouraged encour-aged them to continue with club work and do their part to assist the government in the present crisis. A number of parents of club members attended the program as special guests. |
