Show NEWS FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL... By WINIFRED GARNICK 0 Friday of last week, the yearbook year-book staff entertained the high school with a very interesting assembly, as-sembly, based on the idea of "get-i "get-i ting your yearbook early." Joe Lewis came to the high school Monday and gave a very interesting and educational lecture lec-ture on the subject "Why the United States wants to Protect South America." Many letters have been received from various noted artists indicating indicat-ing that the April Art Exhibit this year will be exceptionally interesting inter-esting and up to the usual high standard. The Springville high school Ag. department is devoting most of its time toward the spring exhibit. The prospects seem favorable. I Pictures for the yearbooks this year are now being taken at Snelson's studio. We are hoping everyone will get enthusiastic about them and make this year's book a great success. The debate team this year consists con-sists of Reed Brockbank, Junior Burgi, Mark Eddington, Floyd Anderson, An-derson, Valena Jones, Marjorie Simkins, and two new beginners, Lorene Maag and Byron Hardy. Their first debate was in Spanish Fork on February 3; the next will be in Provo and following that they will go to Lincoln. |
