STATE RECEIPTS SET RECORD The state administration boasted boast-ed of a new record Sunday when It was revealed that January receipts re-ceipts $4,372,962.25 topped the $3,822,999.78 collected In January, Janu-ary, 1940, which was the best pre vious figure. The report, compiled by R. E. Weight, chief accountant In the state auditor's office, showed that property taxes were $1,683,016.71, an Increase over the $1,262,492.98 received in the first month of 1940. Other record-breaking items were the sales tax collections of $755,137.96 and the liquor control commission profits of $167,411.80, surpassing the January, 1940, figures, fig-ures, both being the previous high marks. Other receipts Included: Gasoline Gaso-line taxes, $292,874.71; motor vehicle' ve-hicle' registration fees, $120,402; cigaret taxes and licenses, $31,-117.23; $31,-117.23; beer taxes, $7,262.17, and income taxes, $36,604.09.
