Show FIRST CAPTURES GAME FROM UNION M MEN Kolob's First ward M Men quint defeated the strong Union ward of East Jordan stake here Saturday night in a hectic uphill battle, 2 9 to 2 6, before a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters. Union, which has not been beaten in league play this year and which appears to be headed for more All-Church honors, ran loco over the First warders as the game opened. The visiting five sunk shot after shot in the first half to run up an 18 to 6 lead. With Kenny Olsen hitting the hoop for the locals in the beginning begin-ning of the third quarter, and with Bird doing some nice ball retrieving retriev-ing from the Union bankboard, the First ward closed the wide gap to within four points 24 to 20 as the third quarter ended. The final period was a thriller, with M. Olsen, K. Olsen and Bird scoring in rapid succession to tie the score at 2 6-all, with a minute to go. M. Olsen sunk a charity toss and W. Weight broke loose for a goal to win the game 2 9 to 2 6. The victory vic-tory for the Blue and White clad boys evened the count with the two teams, as Union defeated the Springville ward 29 to 27 in an extra-period game of the All-Church All-Church tourney last year.
