Show PIONEERS AND ALL-STARS MEET HERE SAT. Springville basketball fan3 n, be royally treated to one of the best basketball offerings of the state here Saturday night when the Ogden Pioneers play the Utah Valley All-Stars at 9 p. m. in tlle new gym. Composed of .former college stars and All-Conference players these two teams will exhibit some of the flashy, clever-playing type of ball that will be a treat to watch. Playing for the Ogden Pioneers are Cal Agricola, C. Morris and p. Morris, Bingham, Revell, and Nor! ton. Of these players, the Morris brothers of Utah Aggie fame and Cal Agricola, also of the Aggie greats, are probably the outstanfl-ing outstanfl-ing performers on the Pioneer roster. The Utah Valley-club is composed com-posed of former B. Y. U. stars, in. eluding such players as Byron Nelson and LaVar Kump. Don Whipple, Ray Nash, and other Utah county stars, are on the outstanding out-standing team. The game will begin immediately immediate-ly following the First Ward - Mapleton Ma-pleton M Men contest at 8 p. m. No charge will be made for the M Men game, but fans who wish to see the Pioneer-Utah Valley quints play will be charged an admission fee. |
