Miss Lois Johnson, vice-president, was in charge, and Ina Sanford was an assisting hostess. Miss Cleo Pierce gave an interesting inter-esting talk on her doll, Rosabelle. Miss Pierce also exhibited the lovely wardrobe and other interesting inter-esting possessions of the famous doll. Several items of club business were also taken up, and tasty refreshments re-freshments were served. The following girls were present: pres-ent: Miss La Jeune Whitney, Miss Yvonne Childs, Miss Fern Sim-kins, Sim-kins, Miss Fay Ferguson, Miss Ina Sanford, Miss LaVern Sanford, Miss Lois Johnson, and Miss Genevieve Gen-evieve Jacobson. ENTRE NOUS ENTERTAINED AT SULPHUR SPRINGS CAMP Members of the Entre Nous club were entertained Friday night at Sulphur Springs camp up Hobble Creek canyon, by Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thorpe and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thorpe. A delicious "Dutch oven" supper sup-per was served early in the evening, eve-ning, after which a!n informal bonfire program was enjoyed by the following members: Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Maycock, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Har-rison Conover, and the hosts and hostesses. LEGION AX'XILIARY MEETING SET AHEAD Official installation of newly elected Legion auxiliary officers previously announced for Wednesday Wednes-day evening, has been changed to Thursday evening, August 1. Mrs. Sarah Sterling of Payson, district president, will officiate at the installation of the newly-elected newly-elected officers. The installation and business meeting will be followed by a party and will be under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Brown. - The meeting was set ahead sc that it would not conflict with an outing scheduled for Wednesdaj afternoon and evening for district four Legionnaires, auxiliary mem bers and their families, at Arrow-head. As the feature of the evening's antertainment, Mrs. Maurice An-ierson An-ierson reviewed the popular book, "Trees. ' The girls also discussed plans for a canyon party to be held sometime in the near future. Helen Strong, newly appointed Gleaner leader, took charge. Refreshments were served in conclusion to Elaine Crandall, Madelyn Weight, Mrs. LaVera Curtis, Evelyn Davis, Lucille Miller, Mil-ler, Verlaine Beardall, Lois Hales, Donnette Fry, Cleo Thorpe, Mildred Mil-dred Fry, Teddy Thorpe, Mary Fillmore, Pauline Clyde, and the hostess. SISTERS HONORED AT PARTIES Mrs. Henry W. Miller of Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Calif., and Miss Helene Clark of Washington, D. C, who are visiting vis-iting in Springville with Mr. and Mrs. Horace W. Clark and other relatives and friends, were honor guests at an entertainment given by Miss Bess Finley and Mrs. B. M. Mendenhall one day last week. They, together with Mrs. Horace Hor-ace W. Clark, will also be honor guests at a family dinner planned for tonight in observance of Mrs. Clark's birthday. BEEHIVE GIRLS AT CANYON PARTY Members of the First Ward Beehive Bee-hive class spent a few days last week at Birch camp in Hobble Creek canyon, chaperoned by Lucille Lu-cille Miller. Hiking, a weiner roast on Wednesday Wed-nesday night, and swimming were the chief diversions of the four-day four-day camping trip. Girls who particiated in the outing out-ing were Beverly Boyer, Marcelle Waters, LaRue Weight, Neva Gay Kennedy, and Lela Rae Thorpe. -T- A charming wedding of the i summer season was that of Miss Marjorie Whiting, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Whiting, to Frank t Fullmer, Friday, July 19, in the ,-Manti ,-Manti temple, with President Young officiating. Immediately following the cere-mony, cere-mony, the young couple left for Fishlake for a short honeymoon. . On Monday night nearly four hundred friends and relatives of t the young couple attended a re- ception held in the Fourth ward J amusement hall honoring the new-lyweds. new-lyweds. , The lovely young bride was attired at-tired in a beautiful model of white chiffon and lace. Caught to her head with a tinra of white gardenias garden-ias was a veil of tulle edged with lace. She carried a bouquet of red rosebuds and white regal lillies. Others in the receiving line were the maid of honor, Beth Hall; bridesmaid, Ruth Condie; Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Whiting; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Fullmer; and Glen Fullmer acted as best man. i The maid of honor wore a gown of peach chiffon and the bridesmaid brides-maid wore rose. Mrs. Whiting chose a model of blue lace and Mrs. Fullmer wore a chiffon print. All of the ladies wore corsages of sweet peas. Mrs. Ed. Jolley and Mrs. LaCelle Bird were in charge of refreshments, refresh-ments, which were served from one long table covered with a gorgeous gor-geous white linen cloth. A centerpiece center-piece of red rosebuds was employed employ-ed with white tapers in crystal candelabra at either end. A profusion pro-fusion of beautiful summer flowers flow-ers were in evidence about the . hall and rooms. Mrs. Howard Sanford, Mrs. ' Hardy Childs, and Mrs. Bert ! Brown were in charge of the gift '. room and they were assisted by the Misses Ruth Hall, Beverly Sumsion, Viola Jean Miner, Louise Lou-ise Averett, Ann Whiting, and , Jane Fullmer. The young couple were married Monday, July 22, by the Utah county clerk. The girls cut out the models of the slips they are planning to sew and discussed plans for the erection erec-tion and entering of a float in the miniature parade that was a feature fea-ture attraction of the Mapleton Pioneer day celebration.
