Show PAYSON CLUB TO PLAY AVERETTCLUB Averett Coal Yard, second round Industrial league champs, will tangle tan-gle with the Amos Dairy club of Payson here tonight at 9 p. m. Both clubs are very good organizations or-ganizations and a thrilling game is expected here tonight. - .Jaycees fought an uphill battle against Mapieton Tuesday night in the city Industrial leaglie before emerging victorious 14-9. The game was fast and interesting. interest-ing. Mapieton grabbed off five runs in the first inning and two more in the third, while the Jr. Chamber was only able to garner three in the last of the third. In the fourth inning the Jaycees sent over a barrage of homers that sent their score from 3 to 10 runs. Bleggie clouted a homer in the fifth for Mapieton as they closed the gap 9-10. The Jaycees, however, how-ever, sewed up the game with 4 runs in the sixth. In the home run contest, the Jaycees led with four homers by Richards, Hughes, Hansen and Fullmer, while Bleggie scored one for Mapieton. Tne 2-3-4 Wards defeated the Springville Garage team in the other game of the evening. The current Industrial league schedule will be completed with one more round of play. |
