Show AMERICAN FORK TO BE HOST AT POULTRY DAY American Fork has dusted off the "welcome" mat and is extending extend-ing a hearty invitation to all central cen-tral Utah to join in celebrating the 1940 edition of Poultry Day, on Saturday, July 27th. With something doing every minute. Poultry Day will be a real celebration. Two mammoth parades par-ades and a great evening show will be the highlights. The parades will offer a colorful array of street pageantry and-the thrilling music of ten bands, and the big evening show will offer an entertainment-packed entertainment-packed program of vaudeville acts featuring entertainers straight from the big-time circuits. An automobile au-tomobile will be given away at the show. The day's program features the first mammoth parade at 10 a. m., thousands of free chicken sandwiches sand-wiches at noon, air circus at 1 p. m., Utah Industrial league game at 2 p. m., evening parade at 6 p. m., stadium show at 8 p. m., and two official dances with "By" Woodbury's band and Howard Nelson's Nel-son's band. Monte Young's rides and shows will provide fun and thrills for the carnival crowds during the day. The events have been arranged so that out-of-town people may drive to American Fork after work and still "get in" on the big attractions, the parade, stadium show and official dances. |
