Show Dr. Aurelia Henry Heinhardt is the first woman to be nominated moderator of the Unitarian association, asso-ciation, a position created two years ago by the church as a part of a national expansion program. This is believed to be the first time that any large church has been represented by a woman. Ir. Reinhardt is president of Mills College. Oakland, Calif. She will represent the church on official of-ficial occasions and advise the board of directors on matters of policy. The office carries no business busi-ness responsibilities or prerequisites. prerequi-sites. Dr. Reinhardt has been a Unitarian all her life. She has been active in the California branch of Pro - America, an organization chiefly of Republican women who have helped to defeat plans of radical groups. Miss V. Isabelle Miller, curator of costumes of the Museum of the City of New York, has arranged an exhibition depicting child life in the city, includng a child's newspaper of 1837. I modern Mrs. Nellie CoviUe of Jacksonville, Jackson-ville, Florida, has discovered a new use for the tarpon. She makes gorgeous flower clusters from the big, crisp,, pearl-colored scales of this fish which she uses as decorations decor-ations for wall plaques. She gives the proceeds from her sales tc charitable institutions, especialb the orphanages throughout the coutry. |
