Springville Girl Has Government Job in Germany Miss Phyllis Weight, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weight, will leave Saturday, May 31, on the first lap of a journey which will take her to Germany, where she will be employed as a recreation recrea-tion director for the Army Special Spec-ial Services. Her headquarters will be in Nurnberg; She will spend a week in Indianapolis, Indian-apolis, Ind., in an orientation school and will go from there to New York from where she will sail about June 13. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Miss Weight has attended the Pasadena Playhouse Play-house two years and has been engaged en-gaged in dramatic work in Pasadena Pasa-dena and Hollywood. She served two years with the WAVES during dur-ing World War II and recently has been employed in secretarial work on the coast. In her honor an open house Bon' Voyage is being given on Thursday evening by an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Condie, , for near relatives and friends. |
