Four years apfo, attendance totaled to-taled 129,252. At the end of 1951, the total was 117,819 or a 14 per cent higher than in 1917, the association asso-ciation noted. The 'substantial jump in attendance' attend-ance' was attributed by the association asso-ciation to four causes: School census increase which amounted to 11,315 pupils in the four years. Increased kindergarten attendance attend-ance which rose from 3802 to 7025 and was due, in part, to the state aid program. The increased ratio of school census in attendance jumped from 96 per cent to 100 per cent. Cen-j sus enumeration disregards five-year-olds, despite the fact that over 7000 are in school attendance. |
