Show Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Ray Miller Honored at Spanish Fork Reception Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Miller, who were married April 20, in Las Vegas, Nev., were honored hon-ored at a reception in the Spanish Fork Fourth ward hall on Wednesday May 14, to which many relatives and friends from Springville attended. Mrs. Miller is the former Barbara Bar-bara Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Smith of Spanish Fork and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Miller of Springville. The bride was charmingly gowned in a Chantilly lace dress, ballerina length with long sleeves. Her headdress was of matching lace with crown of for-get-me-nots from which fell a veil of brides' illusion. She carried a bride's bouquet bou-quet of pink rose-buds centered with an orchid. x I Attendants to the bride included her sister-in-law, Mrs. Keith Weight, as matron of honor and her sisters, Mrs. James Burraston, Spanish Fork, maid of honor; Mrs. Andy Lewis, Castlegate; Mrs. R. H. Nauta, Ogden; Mrs. E. G. Rob-inette Rob-inette of Ogden, bridesmaids. Their gowns were of pastel dotted swiss, ballerina length and they wore corsages in matching colors. Joe Miller did best man duties for his brother. The program for the evening was directed by Mark Boyack, toastmaster. A. W. Cherrington of Springville, uncle of the groom, offered the invocation. Gladys Christensen gave two vocal selections, selec-tions, accompanied by Mrs. Hazel Taylor; Karen Finch gave readings; read-ings; Mrs. Juanita Howard, remarks re-marks to the bride and groom; a melody of love songs, was given by Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Tuckett; vocal trio, Janice Sarg'ent, Ann Merie Fry and Doreen Schouten, accompanied by Jane Harrison; organ selection, Mrs. Ruth Leif-son. Leif-son. Bishop Ray Gull of the Spanish Span-ish Fork Second ward,, gave the benediction. The guest book was in charge of Mrs. Lamond Jones. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Norma Tucker, assisted by the bride's sisters; also Virginia Lee Burraston, Burras-ton, Marilyn Burraston, Dixie Thomas, Lois Phips, Patty Mea-som, Mea-som, Jeanine Johnson, Bevelene Johnson, Marian James, Lonie Porter. Por-ter. In the gift room, were: Mrs. Albert G. Smith, Mrs. Dean Smith, Mrs. Joe Miller, the latter of Springville. They were assisted by Diane Smith, Judy Nancy Miller, Sandra Weight and Marilyn Jones. Serving was at small tables each of which was decorated with low bowls of lilies-of-the-valley and white tapers. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones received i guests at the door and parents of i the bride and groom stood with other members of the wedding party in the receiving line. ' The couple are making their home in Spanish Fork for the present. |
