Show lfews YjoteS . . Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thorpe have returned from a delightful vacation trip to Phoenix, Ariz, and Southern California. At El Segun-do, Segun-do, Calif., they visited Mrs. Thorpe's sister, Mrs. G. H. West and also visited the LDS Temple at Los Angeles. In Hollywood, they saw Cinerama and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stone and family fam-ily at Long Beach. In company with the Stones and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davis who were visiting the Stones from Springville, they also toured Disneyland. Mr. and Mrs. John Y. Bearnson enjoyed a visit this week from Gustave Sigvaldson of Reykjavik, Iceland. An airport official in his country, Mr. Sigvaldson is studying study-ing airline systems in this country coun-try and also farm cooperatives as part of the government foreign leader education service. He came here from Los Angeles and will continue his journey to Minneapolis, Minneapo-lis, Minn, returning to his country the latter part of December. Driving Driv-ing down with Mr. Bearnson from Salt Lake City Tuesday, he said he was particularly impressed with the mountains and the beautiful . weather. This valley reminded him, he said1 of his native land although he believed they would be having more snow than we have at this time of the year. Mrs. Estella Ollerton enjoyed a visit from her son, Elmo and his wife of Moab at her home here recently. |
