Springville Club Gives New Bench To HS Art Gallery The Mothers Study club in a well-planned civic gesture on Friday Fri-day of last week, presented the High School Art Gallery with a gallery bench of hard wood costing cost-ing in the neighborhood of $100. The presentation was made by Mrs. Zola Gogarty, club president, to Stanley Burningham, art gallery gal-lery curator, who accepted it in behalf of other members of the Art Board. .The large Northeast Gallery is now equipped with six fine benches, ben-ches, four of them being contributed contrib-uted by the Dr. George A. Anderson Ander-son family in memory of Dr. Anderson An-derson during whose administration administra-tion as mayor of Springville, the gallery was constructed. Another was presented more recently by the Hafen-Dallin Art Club. Each bench has a bronze plaque engraved engrav-ed with the name of the doner. |
