Show Future Farmers Set Harvest Ball; Will Name '56 Queen Four high schools girls will vie for the honor of Future Farmer chapterqueen of 1956 from now until the big Harvest Ball, sponsored by the FFA next Wednesday evening, Nov. Z, in the high school gym. The candidate who receives the most votes from the student body, at a penny a vote, will be the queen and the next highest, her attendant. Announcement of the queen and attendant will be made at the Harvest Ball. Representing the classes as queen candidates are; Patsy Warren, War-ren, Senior Class; Sue Ann Hansen, Han-sen, junior; Kay Nielson, sophomore; sopho-more; Neva Chappell, ninth grade. These girls were chosen from a bevy of beautiful girls from each of the high school classes, judged by LeGrande Young, Francis Rowe and Kaye Whitney, last year's queen of Utah State. The girls were questioned by the judges who choose them from their response to the questions and poise as well as appearance. Representing, the classes as queen candidates were: Colleen Sanford, Patsy Warren and Diane Taylor, senior class; Linda Decker, Deck-er, Viva Marsh, Sue Ann Hansen, junior; Kay Nielson, Carolyn Simmons Sim-mons and Dawn Westoff, sophomore sopho-more class and Karen Adams, Neva Ne-va Chappell and Marlene. ninth grade. Refreshments were served after the judging by Afton Wride, Home Ec. adviser, Connie Hall and Joan Gustavson. The theme chosen by club officers offi-cers and committeemen for this year's FFA Ball is "Harvest Moon," with special decorations and music by Wes Barry, to be featured. |
