Show Distf Scout Committee Reorganized; Nolan Weight Named New Chairman Nolan Weight has been elected district Scout chairman succeeding Freeman Bird, it was announced an-nounced Wednesday following a district committee meeting and annual election. Others named to a.ssi.st with the Scout work are: William Witney, vice-chairman; Ashley Graham, health and safety chairman; Verl Whiting, finance chairman; Freeman Free-man Bird, camping and activity; R. L. Wilson, leadership training; Ray Clark, advancement chairman Wilford Manwaring, organization and extension; El wood Loveridge, district commissioner. It was decided at the meeting that the Scout drive should get underway immediately with Finance Fin-ance Chairman Whiting in charge ; of arrangements. j Also in connection with the University Un-iversity of Scouting being held in Provo, it was stated that Springville Spring-ville rated first in attendance the first evening and second in the second. Another meeting is scheduled sched-uled this evening and it is hoped that a full attendance of Scoutcrs and MIA presidents attend. Thus-far Thus-far in the meeting, there has not been a single MIA president from Springville in attendance. It is hoped that this record will also be broken tonight, scout officials stated. |
