Show Ladies Literary Club Holds Regular Meet Members of the Ladies Literary club were guests of Mrs. Mae Groesbeck at her home Thursday evening of last week at a program directed by President Helen Anderson, An-derson, who welcomed Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Bird as a new member into the club. Mrs. Ruby Christensen who recently re-cently returned from Washington D.C. where she attended the General Gen-eral Federation board meeting, gave a brief review of the meet-. meet-. ings and her trip. The topic for the evening on the American Indian, another in a series ser-ies in which the club is studying people of America, was given by Mrs. Manila Brown, preceded by a ballet, "The Indian Prayer," by Diana Allred in costume. Mrs. Julia Sumsion was accompanist. The program concluded with interesting in-teresting colored slides of Indian celebrations in Oregon and Arizona Ari-zona shown by Mrs. Jessie Dalton. Preceding the program, the hostess served a delicious tray luncheon in keeping with the pro-1 gram theme to twenty one club members. She was assisted by her daughters Marilyn and Kay and a daughter in-law, Mrs. Monty Groesbeck. |
