Burrows, 95, faithful LDS church worker, died Thursday of ailments incident to his age, at his home Sixth East Twelfth South. He was ill only three days. Funeral services were conducted Monday in the First-Twelfth ward, under direction of Bishop Maurice Bird. He was born at Springtown, Parker Co., Texas July 13, 1861 and spent his early boyhood in that state coming to Utah in 1890. He worked his way through early day schools and taught school in southern south-ern Utah for 12 years. Later he became a mail carrier carrying the mail by bobsleight over high drifted drift-ed snows through wild unsettled country. Mr. Burrows married Lucy Emma Em-ma Workman Sept. 11, 1891, in Georgetown. She died Feb. 17, 1896. On June 14, 1905, he married mar-ried Mary Ann Hatch. He has been active in civic and church affairs all his life. He served ser-ved as bishop of the Hatch LDS Ward from 1906 to 1924. He moved with his family to Santaquin in February, 1925, and to Springville in 1928 where he has lived since. At the time of his death he was an active High Priest in the Springville First LDS ward. He is survived by his widow and five sons and six daughters, James H.
