Show Quartet, Road-Show Festival Dates For Division Five Set Nov. 10, 1 MIA Quartet and Road Show Festivals for Districts A and B, Division Five, which comprises Kolob and Springville LDS Stakes s and those of Spanish Fork, Palmyra, Pal-myra, Deseret, Emery, Kolob, San-taquin-Tintic, Nebo, Carbon, North Carbon and Millard, are planned for November 10 and 24, according to announcement made today by Mrs. Harold Whiting ancL, Wilford Manwaring, division co-chairmen. The quartet festival in which one quartet from each stake will take part will be held Saturday evening, November 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Payson Fourth ward. Taking Tak-ing part from Springville will be the Eleventh ward quartet composed com-posed of Evelyn Boyer, Janice Weight, George Naylor and Arlon Van Arden which will represent Kolob Stake and the Fifth ward quartet composed of Howard Bear-dall, Bear-dall, Billie Bearnson, Sam Francis and Ray Sanford, who will represent repre-sent Springville Stake. Road Show Festival The date for the Road-Show Festival is set on Saturday evening, eve-ning, November 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Stake House at Spanish Fork. Here also will be seen a road show presentation from each of the stakes in Division 5. Springville stake will be represented repre-sented by the Fourth ward Road Show and Kolob Stake by the Sixth ward presentation. The area festivals are being arranged ar-ranged by the general MIA authorities au-thorities to give more people an opportunity to participate. In past years only a very few could be entered in the all-church events in Salt Lake City due to the large number of stakes represented. The dance festival is also to be worked out as a Division event, the time and place for this phase of the MIA program to be announced an-nounced later, according to Mrs. Whiting and Mr. Manwaring. |
