Strong regarding re-garding rewiring his apartments was read. No action taken. E. F. Fackrells problem regarding regard-ing building a car port was referred refer-red to the Board of Adjustments. It was moved by CI. Strong and second by CI. Nielson all bills properly pro-perly signed be paid and the meeting meet-ing stand adjourned. Lloyd J. Ashcraft City Recorder 3 p The regular meeting of the yji Springville City Council was held j Monday November 5, 1956 at 7:30 , P.M. in the Council chambers. ; Mayor A. W. Cherrington was ' in the chair. Roll call showed the following - present: CI. E. A. Strong, Jr., CI. r7 Harold J. Whiting. CI. Ralph Child, . , CI. Grant Nielson, Recorder Lloyd z , J. Ashcraft and City Attorney j Jackson B. Howard. CI. William ! G. Ruff excused because of being : ! confined to the hospital from a recent operation. ' 1 Prayer was offered by CI. Niel-- Niel-- son. The minutes of the meeting held ; October 15, 1956 were read and ! approved. I ' A representative of the Utah ! Power & Light Company Mr. Par-Ij Par-Ij kinson met with the council re-f re-f garding an easement for a power transmission line on the East part of town. It was moved by CI. Child and seconded by CI. Strong the easement be given providing they agree to raise their line at no cost to the city if it becomes necessary for the city to cross under their line. Also to move a pole at 1st South to raise the power line between be-tween First and Fourth South, also al-so between 8th and 10th South if and when it becomes necessary to open up a street and install a power pow-er line. Motion passed unanimous. Mrs. Don Snedeger was present J regarding replacing the' fence, A some buildings and a dog run where the street went through 1 I their property. It was moved by CI. j Nielson and seconded by CI. Whit-4 Whit-4 ing the city replace the fence on J the North side of the road and re-i re-i Place the dog run as previously ' agreed. Passed unanimous, il Harvey Robbins presented a ) rtght of way plat of Swensori Av--,j enue East of 5th East for approval ft and acceptance. It was moved by A Cl. Strong and seconded by CI. rVi Child that it be accepted with the J$ stipulation that it conform to or-A or-A finance no. 48 that the road be f. "ought to a gravel standard. The ' motion passed unanimous. Lewis Thorpe presented informa-j informa-j tion regarding sexton fees paid in y surrounding communities and recommended re-commended they be increased in Springville to conform with others. It was moved by Cl. Strong and seconded by Cl. Whiting the sexton fee for residents adults be set at I 525, non-resident adults $30; f children residents $15 and nonresidents non-residents $20. The motion passed ,. unanimous. ' On a motion by Cl. Nielson and ,i seconded by Cl. Whiting the city j'; agreed to pay $4.05 monthly on employees insurance coverage. , Passed unanimous. |
