Show By LYN CONNELLY PETITE Paula Kelly, only female member of the Modernaires. , could easily be dubbed the most versatile and active little miss on TV! On a recent "Bob Crosby Show in the short space of 15 minutes, she sang a couple of songs. modelid the sponsor's products, took part in a skit, did a commercial- and clowned with host Crosby Who knows! She may yet be taking over the control room . Maybe it's all due to the fact that. Paula has to be pretty sharp to keep ahead of the overwhelming ; majority of men in the Modernaires . quintet! Secret Desire: To have been an extra in the movie "A Star Is Born" . . With Judy Garland's shenanigans holding up the picture time after time. It's going to have to be a box-office Bonanza just to cover the salaries involved . . We think Judy is a grand trouper but , even she can't be worth all that temperament! Credit goes to the , Godfrey gang for not showing all j that back-stage dissension before : the cameras . . . It still seems like i the happiest family in television. PLATTER CHATTER COLUMBIA Mitch Miller has a ; catchy number in "Napoleon" ... Backside has "Monday Serenade" j Jill Corey does well with "One God" backed by "He Is a Man" j "Don't Stay Away Too Long" Is Felicia Sanders' newest disc and j a good one it is . . Here is a gal i with real depth to her voice j Flip side has "My Love Belongs to j You" . . Jerri Adams revives j for the millionth time, "Alone Together" To-gether" but it's still good listening . She does a nice job with "Two s , a rowd" on the reverse. ! Still on Columbia, we have Bed Branchard doing a novelty bit, "Dig That Crazy. Mixed-Up Kid" j Reverse has "Captain Hideous" f There's a new vocalist in Peggy King and she debuts very nicely with "Burn "Em Up" and "The. Hottentot " . |
