Gloria Swanson may come even further out of retirement by starring in a radio show. s PLATTER CHATTER CAPITOL What to get the kiddies kid-dies for Christmas? Capitol has come up with a wide variety of wonderful albums that should make not only Christmas itsell brighter but many days to follow as well . . . There's a grand Hop-along Hop-along Cassidy Square Dance album al-bum that will please the most fastidious fas-tidious small fry . . . And there's a real treat, too, in a brand new "Baby Snooks" album, starring, of course, Fanny Brice and Hanley Stafford as patient daddy . . . Snooks learns to tell the truth, to be good, to be clean, table manners, man-ners, how to cross streets and to be kind to animals . . . Children will like it. Another wonderful album is the latest in the Bozo the Clown series . . . This time Bozo is on the farm and his adventures will keep the kiddies enthralled ... In addition, t there are numerous single discs like "Daffy Duck Meets Yosemite Sam," starring Mel Blanc, the screen Donald and Daffy Duck . . . Then there's a fine Smiley Burnette recording of "Donkey Engine" backed by "I Wish That I'd Said That" . . . Mel Blanc comes back strongly in a cutie, "Tweetie Pie." Still on Capitol, there are two good "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" records . . . One by Sugar Chile Robinson, the other by Smiley Burnette. |
