Show Howard Thorpe Is New President OfRiding CluB Howard Thorpe was elected president of the Hobble Creek Riding club at the annual dinner-meeting dinner-meeting of the .organization held on Wednesday evening at Kapps Melody Inn. He succeeds Murray Peay. Other new, officers elected at the meeting included, Wallace Gurr, vice-president; Ed. Brenen-inger, Brenen-inger, secretary-treasurer; Carl Boyer, 2-year director; Nolan Weight, Earl Diamond, Tom Wheeler Whee-ler and Harmer Nebeker, one-year directors. The outgoing president will also act automatically in the capacity of one-year director. Forty-two people in attendance enjoyed the evening's entertain-(Continued entertain-(Continued on Page 2) activities and were outstanding in scenic beauty and interest; also were those of the wild horse hunt in which the club members participated parti-cipated the past, summer on the San Raphael desert. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of lovely gifts in the form of western style mantle clocks together with a vote of thanks and appreciation to retiring re-tiring officers, the retiring president, presi-dent, vice-president and secretary-treasurer secretary-treasurer being presented with the gifts.
