Show Public To Take Part In Naming DSA Winner To make the selection of the outstanding young man of Springville Spring-ville more of a community affair, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, sponsors of the project, are asking the general public to submit names of young men who in their opinion would qualify for the honor. hon-or. Any young man of Springville, 21 to 35 years of age, who has an outstanding record of civic achievement, achieve-ment, might qualify. With the name suggested is to be a list of the things which the young man has done in the community the past year, in a civic, religious or social manner. Judges of the candidates have been selected by the Jaycee past president, LaMar Miner, and they, too, are looking over prospective men's records. The judges names are kept secret until the selection is announced in January in connection con-nection with the DSA annual banquet. ban-quet. The names of candidates for the award are to be sent to LaMar, together with his qualifications. The winner of the DSA award in Springville will be entered in state competition, and should he win in the state, will be entered in the national contest. |
