Show Mrs. E. L. Nye of Fort Collins, Colo., "is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. H. Kelsey and her sister, Miss Effie Kelsey here this week. Poastmaster and Mrs. J. Emmett Bird were in Richfield last Monday, Mon-day, Tuesday and Wednesday attending at-tending the Utah state convention for poastmasters. The convention was well attended and the Richfield Rich-field hosts provided much fine entertainment for the visitors. The convention will be held at Logan next year. Mrs. Charles Fry has her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Elizabeth Westoby, 92, of Glendale, Calif., visiting her for the summer. It is Mrs. West-oby's West-oby's first visit in five years and she recently visited other relatives at Morgan. Mrs. Westoby appears much younger than her years, spending her time visiting, crocheting cro-cheting and reading daily. She made the trip to Springville from California by automobile. She is a former resident of Salt Lake City but has made her home in California for the past 25 or 30 years. Clark Gardner of this city was one of the winners of a newspaper contest and left Monday for a trip to Catalina Island, Calif., as a reward. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Cox, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Cox of Hepp-ner, Hepp-ner, Oreg. arrived in Springville Wednesday for a few days, coming especially for the wedding of their son and brother Marvin Cox, this evening. |
