Show Editor, Family Sail for Alaska Following Attendance at i National Editorial Convention in Seattle, Washington 4 Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover and Martin Conover of the Herald, Springville, Utah, sailed on the Alaska Steamship Company steamer Aleutian at 8 p.m. June 5 for a 15-day Alaska Cruise-tour with more than 150 other delegates who attended the National Editorial Editor-ial Association's 66th Annual Convention Con-vention which concluded in Seattle a few hours earlier. The Alaska tuorists will cruise j, the famous Inside Passage from Seattle to the former gold town and present capital of the Territory, Terri-tory, Juneau, with stops at Ketchikan, Ket-chikan, Wrangell and Petersburg enroute. Then the Aleutian steams out 'across the Gulf of Alaska to the beautiful Prince William Sound for calls at Cordova and Valdez. At the northern terminal port of Seward on Resurrection Bay the & . party will leave the ship for three days sightseeing. They will have opportunity to see the Homer territory; ter-ritory; Mt. McKinley National Park; and Fairbanks, the golden heart of Alaska. On the return trip the Aleutian will call at the historic Russian Capital and present fishing center of Sitka in Southeastern Alaska, arriving back in Seattle June 20. |
