Awards Approved The athletic council approved awarding of letters to 20 varsity gridders and numerals to 22 frosh Varsity award winners: Captain Cap-tain Wayne Soffe, Captain-elect Forest Bird, Chad Beckstead, Chris Mortensen, Mark Murray, Max Bateman, Gerald Gillespie, Vaughn Uoyd, Rex Christensen, 1 Moyle Knudsen, Hafen Leavitt, Eddie Allen, Tom Kimball, Merrill Mer-rill Waters, Drew Leonard, John Wc;nig, Jackson Jewkes, Meldon Wainer, Dan Thomas, Ken Soffe, Stan Watts, Jack Stringham, Herman Mines, Paul McBeth, Jack Christensen and Charley Roberts.
