Show MAN IS IDENTIFIED AS MISSING HUSBAND BOISF. Idaho. Oct. 3. Identified as her husband by the woman he deserted at Blackfoot fourteen years ago, leaving hnr with six small children. Kaward V. Pharris was arrested this morning upon the charge of infidelity, and is now in the county jail awaiting his preliminary hearing on October S betote Judge Anderson. An-derson. Pharris. who is 63 years of age, recently re-cently purchased a five-acre tract of land near "Boise, and it was through this transaction trans-action that his deserted wife learned he was still in Idaho. Coming to Boise from Pocatello, she advised the officers of the affair and accompanied them to the Short Line tracks, where she identified identi-fied her husband while he was at work unloading a car of goods and stock he had shipped here from Caldwell. With him was a woman with whom he had lived for twelve years, it is alleged, and whom he claimed as his wife. The real estate transfer he had for the purchase pur-chase of the property shows the contract was made out to himself and wife. He had paid .?u0u down on the property and was to pay an additional ?2000. Pharris "evidenced considerable surprise wlu-n confronted by his former wife, but submitted to arrest without protect, and announced lie would not attempt to give tho Sl-Vj't bond under which he was placed, as he v-ns a stranger in Boise. |
