GRANT of the Latter-day faints church nt the I closing of yesterday morning's session of the conference, made the i ' following reference to the illness of President Woo'lrow Wilson: .; ! "It is a source of regret to all of U3 to learn from the dispatches I, received this morning that the president of these United States is in a very critical condition of health. i "I wish to say that 1 was profoundly impressed with all that he said , ' from this htand daring his recent visit, and that it -met with my hearty approval. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the hotel, and I was im- j ;! pressed with the honesty and sincerity of his motives. I believe that he desires with all the power of his being to accomplish that which, in his j. estimation, ia for the good of mankind the world over. "After the singing of the doxology by the congregation, we will ask that you all join Elder Orson F. Whitney in the benediction and pray for the recovery of the health of our president of these United States." ', Following is an extract from the benediction of Orson F. Whitney, of , tho council of the twelve, referring to President Wilson: ' "We pray especially, our Father, for the president of the United j ' States, Thy servant, who so recently addressed us from this stand and ; with whose remarks and sentiments and the truths that he uttered our ; hearts were so powerfully impressed and our minds illumined. We desire with all our hearts that his life may bo spared, that Thou wilt deliver him ; from the sickness that now afflicts him, that Thou wilt rebuke the de- ! ; stroyer in his behalf and raise him up to continue tho mighty work unto ! ; which Thou hast called him. "Wo pray Thee, O God, to touch him with a healing touch, to let the peace and light and power of tho Holy Spirit rest upon him. Give him the faith to be healed. Bless those about him with faith and wifh the ; ! full command of all their knowledge and skill and judgment and wisdom, that they may" render to him the assistance of which ho stands in need; and all that is dono for him, may it have Thy blessings upon it to this end, that he may bo spared to continue the work 'which Thou hast given him 1 ; to do. 1 "We pray for all the leaders of the nation.
