Show TO VOTE ON BONDS FOR WATER SUPPLY Special to The Tribune. BURLEY. Idaho, Oct. 3. A mass-meeting mass-meeting was held at the city and county building Tuesday evening, at which more than 100 of Burley's representative citizens citi-zens were in attendance to discuss the 325.000 bond issue, which question will be voted upon next Monday. The purpose of voting the bonds is to purchase the waters of Willow creek and pipe them into the city, a distance 0! about fifteen miles. The present supply has been found inadequate, as it is maintained main-tained by water being pumped from two shallow 'wells by the municipality, and from the presentation of figures by Grover S. Rich and S. D. Parkers, a committee selected by the Commercial club to look into the feasibility of the Willow creek proposition, there is not any likelihood that the bonds will be defeated. Those attending the meeting were for the Willow Wil-low creek system , as against the well source of supply. |
