Enjoy Post-season Trip to Brighton Following the highly successful rendition of "Judas Maccabeus" by the Salt Lake Oratorio society, four of the principal figures fig-ures in the af :'air, C. Clarence Neslen. chairman of the executive commit t cm; Marjcr;e lodge Warner, soprano soloist; Mrs. Howard J.awson of Halt Uake; 1-Jd-ward Atchison, tenor soloists, and b'qtnru Coop, musical director, made an auto trip to Briirhtun, Mr. and Mrs. Neslen being the Jiosl an-1 hostess. They found real winter at the summer resort and enjoyed throwing snowballs as much as they appreciated ap-preciated -the roaring fire in the J. G. McDonald cottage, which was opened for them. After two days of recreation they returned to their work. Orpheus Club Plans Public Appearance The first rehearsal of the Orpheus club for this season brought together about one-half of its regular membership, with about half a dozen new voices in addition. addi-tion. The interest and enthusiasm manifested manifest-ed by the members present was brought to a "crescendo" when it was announced on behalf of Conductor A. Ft. Peabody and the board of directors that, the club would this season carry our. its oidtlme popular policy of making at least one public appearance, in connection with some well-renowned artist or artists to be brought to Salt Lake by the club for the event.
