Show UK UiD II EILJER PARK Improvements to Be Rushed; Rush-ed; Building Regulations Provided. AVlth sewer mains being laid on all streets in Gilmer park and water main extensions to be made immediately, this beautiful residence park will soon be ready for an active campaign, of home building. Bids are now being received by the city engineer for street paving and sidewalk work, and these improvements will also be rushed to completion, according ac-cording to D. C. Kimball of Kimball & Richards, "land merchants." "The delay in beginning these improvements," improve-ments," $ays Mr. Kimball, "has been due to tho great rush of preceding jobs in the city engineer's office. The water department of the city has been unable during the last few months to complete Its water main extensions, and therefore a slight delay has been occasioned. However, How-ever, now that these public improvements improve-ments are well under way, we anticipate an active season of home building. Many lot buyers have already completed their plans, and before snow falls we look for several homes to be started. By next spring we are assured of a large number num-ber of additional homes for the tract, so that within a few months Gilmer park will he a populous home district. "Because of the far-sighted building regulations provided in Gilmer park, every home will be protected against undesirable undesir-able surroundings. Homes of character and distinction, many of the modern colonial co-lonial type, will be the rule throughout the property. The. company provides each lot buyer with a lot plan, thus creating a district where landscape gardening will be a strong feature. "In addition, there are a number of park spaces, to be attractively designed and maintained at the expense of the company, which will add greatly to the natural beauty of Gilmer park. The paved winding driveways, the quiet seclusion se-clusion of shady streets, the beautiful 'hmes and delightful surroundings will combine to make this property a neighborhood neigh-borhood of loveliness. "With the demand for homes becoming more acute every day. Salt Lake Is bound to see a very active home-building season sea-son next spring. This means a stronger demand for building sites than ever before, be-fore, and the natural result will be higher prices for lots." |
