Show Effort Is Inspired by Meetings of Women MUCH inspiration was gained by the club women of Salt Lake the past week by the meeting of the Utah Federation Fed-eration of Women 's clubs in this city. Should the invitation extended to tho General Federation to hold its council coun-cil meeting here in May, 1921, be accepted, ac-cepted, some of the most distinguished women of the country will visit Salt Lake. The council meeting alternates with tho biennial meeting of the General Gen-eral Federation as a whole and is composed com-posed of the officers of the national body, state presidents, state directors, state secretaries and presidents of clubs belonging directly to the national federation. fed-eration. The next biennial meeting will be in Des Moines, Iowa, beginning June 20, 1920. Delegates were chosen at the meeting of the state federation last week to represent the state at large at the Des Moines meeting. The delegates are Mrs. John F. Cowan of Salt Lake, Mrs. John A. Widtsoe of Salt Lake, Mrs. J. R. Morrell of Ogden, Mrs. Thomas Foutz of Price and Mrs. Melvin Merrill of Logan. Alternates were chosen as follows: Mrs. Elizabeth Coray of Salt Lake, Mrs. W. F. Adams of Salt Lake, Mrs. L. A. McBride of Tooele, Mrs. Wilbur Hodgson of Salt Lake and Mrs. Anna M. Kopp of Park City: Mrs. Edward Bichsel of Ogden was nominated for stnto federation director. The election for director will take placo at the biennial meeting in Des Moines. The place of meeting for the council will also be decided at that time and Salt Lake's invitation will to acted upon. |
