Show WOODLAWN SHOWING IMPROVES STEADILY Arrangements were completed yesterday by W J. Lawrence, manager of the Wood-lawn Wood-lawn mine, for the ' hauling of ore by tru.-k from the mine, by night as well a by d;iy. About forty tons of ore have been hauled from the mine to the sampler. sam-pler. l)ut no settlements wiil be made until un-til 100 tons have been delivered, it is said. Conditions at the mine are excellent, according to Mr. Law rencc. The ore in the lare stope in the drift in fissure No. 2, winch is nine feet wide, is opening up into one of constantly increasing valuation, llecently ore winch assays 10o ounces silver and no per cent lead has been struck in a raise in the same drift a short distance ba-k from the large raie, it is said. This ore has been stripped for t went v feet on a body four and a 'naif feet, thick. At present it is impossible- to- tell the ex tent of the deposit, de-posit, but ut it is making fnr the lime ;iti.l inward the Inrge fissure it is thought tha t it will open up into the bedding and thus make a Uirge and permanent body of ore. |
