Show OUTLOOK GOOD. The federal reserve board's monthly report is highly optimistic. "In nearly all of the disrricts the opinion is entertained enter-tained that the prospects of a successful success-ful and prosperous year, with a very large output of goods and almost unprecedented un-precedented financial returns to manufacturers, manu-facturers, agriculturists and laborers now are positive," says the report. The board, however, suggests the possibility possibil-ity that speculation may be carried too far and exert, an injurious influence. Prices continued to rise during the nonth of dune. The report shows an enormously heavy demand for goods for export, which has rendered products iu many lines scarce. This is evidently hought to account for the high prices in such lines. "SVool products have been sold ahead for mouths and automobile manufacturing is running in many plants at record levels. There is a revival re-vival in building and lumber retailers are buying heavily. Agricultural prospects pros-pects of the early spring are being more i than justified. There is no present condition con-dition of unemployment. In short the outlook in the United States is about as good as it could be .uuder any circumstances. cir-cumstances. All the country lacks to insure a continuation of the existing happy conditions is prompt action on the treaty of peace and wise legislation bv congress. We have men, money and materials and there is no reason why we should not be commercially and financially fi-nancially supreme now that we have the opportunity to lead all the other nations for the first time in our history. |
