STUDENTS HONOR LOGAN BIRDMAN Special to The Tribune. LOGAN'. July 2. Lieutenant Ru-sel F Maughan, who won merit on the field of battle, was honored by the student body of the Utah Agricultural college, the faculty fac-ulty and the townspeople of Logan at a public meeting held in the college chapci tonight. Lieutenant Maughan is a native of To-gan To-gan City and a graduate of the Utah 'Agricultural college. He joined the co)o soon after war was declared in April. 1 17. entering himself with the aviation service. In this branch of the service Lieutenant Maughan made an unusually brilliant record, bringing down foi?r boche planes in the Meuse-Argonne section. He lacked but one plane of becoming an American "ace."
