Show BRITISH CLOSE TO LE QUESNOY AFTER SEVERE FIGHTING BRITISH HEADQUARTERS IN FRANCE AND BELGIUM, Oct. 25. (Router's.) The British were close to Le Quesnoy this morning, after stiff lighting In which the Germans suffered heavy losses. , There was very stiff fighting on both sides of Les Tuilerles, toward La Coupe gorge and over the high ground to the northwest. Mormal forest Is Invested by Germans with machine guns, hut the British artillery ar-tillery Is searching it with high explosives explo-sives and Ras shells. The enemy continues to fight stubbornly stubborn-ly against the Third nnd Fourth armies, but as the British drive him from his prepared defense positions they follow up so closely that he gets Mt t lu chance to rally.
