The ' presence of excessive heat and gases, as well as the geology of the property, are believCd excellent indications that the development now under way at the Copper Leaf will result in the' making of a mine of magnitude. 'We were especially pleased with the physical' condition of the property," said Mr. Davis, who made his first trip to the mine Thursday. "We are satisfied satis-fied that the men behind the Copper Leaf are making the most of the funds with which they have beeu provided. They have one of the best plants in the district. Everything necessary to the development of the property has been supplied, and when the ore is encountered encoun-tered the management has provided ample am-ple facilities to care for the needs of a big producer. ' ' The property is being developed by means of a shaft, which has attained a depth of-approximately 650 feet. The heat and pases, which caused a temporary tempor-ary suspension of operations some time ago, are now under control and the work is progressing at the rate of about five feet a day. The rock in w-hich the miners min-ers are working is highly mineralized, and is believed by many 'who have vis-i vis-i ited the property to be the capping of a 1 big ore body. ' The annual meeting of the Copper Leaf is scheduled for next Monday, and the eastern visitors have been invited to remain for the meeting. They have J atcepted the invitation and will spend , the next two or three days in sightsee-, sightsee-, ing around the valley. |
