Show AGGIES PROPOSE 10 STAY MID MAP High School Stars Flock to A. C; Will Help 1918 Eleven. Special to The Tribune. LOGAX, Feb. 10. Sim-e the Aggies had a championship football team and have a basketball team that is in the lead for a championship, many former high school stars enrolled in the Logan institution at midyear. The Aggies until un-til this year have been little regarded, as far as athletics was concerned, but I henceforth every effort possible will be put forth to put the A. C. on the athletic ath-letic map. Last year a committee was appointed to look up some of the better higa i school players and everybody knows of the fjreat success the committee had in j getting the men here and of the many j things the school has done to treat the i men right after they did get them. This year the same committee has been busy I and is still busy telling the future college col-lege stars of the many advantages the j A. C. has to offer. i One of the best football plavers to enter at the A. C. was Jumbo'' Wat- son, brother of the Aggie coach. "'Juinbo"' has played three" years on I the De Kaib. 111., high school team, where he made a great name for himself. him-self. He plays either a guard or tackle position and weighs close to '20 pounds. There is no doubt in the minds of those' who have seen him plav that he wii:: develop into as great a" player as his: brothers, who were botn all-western1 men. - Two all-state men from Granite high: S'-lioid will be seen fighting it out tor positions on the Asgio eleven next fall.! They are McDonald, all-state tackle, and Mart, former all-state fullback, fcmith' is the onlv Payson man to enter and no' doubt will bVing fame to his home town next year, a? he is fast and has had three years' experience vt left half. Peterson, 'a big fullback full-back from Park Citv, shnnld make good, as he ha? considerable speed along with his weight. Campbell, from Kiliv. Idaho, high school, should prove to he a valuable man.
