RACING Artie Frnow, the kingpin of the local ama teur cyclists, who has been making a (Jean sweep in the races at Bonneville saucer track" since the opening three weeks ago, lias decided to tackle bigger game and will make his debut with the professional riders at tho race meet tomorrow to-morrow night. Fa mow and Phil W'right will meet Albert Grcbs and Bob Diefon-bacher Diefon-bacher in a team match race as one of the features of the regular Sunday night racing programme. Furnow has been talking the measure of the other amateurs with such apparent ease and showing so much speed that his entry into the professional class will be watched with unusual interest, as it will give the fans an idea of just how much taster tho professionals ride than the amateurs. With Farnow lined up with the professionals, profes-sionals, the amateur races should be much more interesting than heretofore, as there are several amateurs who are candidates can-didates tor the amateur crown, ajid the bat tie among them should make some interesting racing. Promoters Prince and Downing announce an-nounce that tbey have arranged a good programme of races for tomorrow night's meet and that the general admission will be reduced to the rate that used to prevail pre-vail In the olden days. j |
