Show Mines MAY BESOT HERE Six Arrested on President's Warrants Likely to Come to Fort Douglas. Anion;; a detachment of 451 German officers and sailors taken from interned German merchant vessels in the Philippine Philip-pine islands, who have arrived in San Francisco and been interned at Angel islajid, is Carl Ibersen, formerly second officer of the noted German raider ' ' Moowe. : ' Jbersen and five others of the party, according to information received here, were arrested immediately after their arrival in San I-'rancisco on United States oveniment warrants and aro be-in be-in held as prisoners pending investigations investiga-tions -which may send them to the Third war prison camp at Fort Douglas as dangerous alien enemies for the period of the war. The five men who were arrested -with Ibersen arc George Pioch, William Kur-zoy, Kur-zoy, Karl Woek, all sailors, and George Arlt and II. J-'inke, civilians from Manila, Ma-nila, who arc classed as enemy aliens. The majority of the officers and sailors sai-lors -who were landed in fSan Francisco by a government vessel, are merely seamen sea-men of the merchant marine of Germany Ger-many and as such are not classed as prisoners of war ur dangerous alien enemies, hence arc not. subject to confinement con-finement in war prison camps such as the- one at Fort Douglas. Members of this class of internes are held at Angel island and at Fllis island, New York. The second officer of the Jloewe, Carl Ibersen, ami bis five companions who -were arrested on presidential warrants, war-rants, are of a different class, and it is considered likely that all of them will finally be brought to Salt Fake for imprisonment im-prisonment in tho war prison camp at Fort Douglas.
