County Coun-ty Commissioners H. W. Henderson, Kels Hogan and Joseph Reuss have returned re-turned from the annual session of county commissioners held at Boise dur- j ing the first three days of the week. The meeting is said to have been one ! of the most successful yet held and i many important questions relating to j the administration of county aitaira ! were considered. I Plans were formulated for uniform financial as well as other assistance to county sheriffs for the purpose of enabling en-abling them more effectively to deal with law breakers and especially in connection with the investigation of those charged with having pro-German sympathies. As a result of an address by H. W. Hochbaum of the extension department of the University of Idaho, many commissioners com-missioners of counties not now having county agents decided to make such appointments prior to February 1, when the new food production act will go into effect. Twenty-six of the forty-one counties of the state now have "such agents and the unanimous opinion of the representatives of these counties was that in connection with food conservation, conser-vation, the securing of labor for the farms, destruction of insect pests and . in many other respects their county agent3 had rendered invaluable service i daring the past year.
