MINING MAN SHOOTS D. & R. G. FOREMAN Both Placed Under Arrest Pending Investigation; Self-defense Is Pleaded. Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Doc. 21. Deputy Sheriff C. H. Clark arrived here from Colton this evening having in custody August Lolo. a construction foreman for the Denver it Jiio Grande at Colton. and Jack Sharp, a young mining man of Brovo. both of whom were arrested at Colton Thursday after Sharp had shot Lelo in the right arm. From statements made at Colton. Lclo had a quarrel -ivit.h a man named Cliad-wick Cliad-wick and later encountered Sharp at the station, saying to him, "I'll get you, too," and at the same time advancing ad-vancing on Sharp with a spike maul. Sharp promptly pulled a gun and shot Lelo in the arm, after which both men were arrested. Sharp says he acted in self-defense, and has been released upon his own recognizance ponding a hearing. Lelo denies that he attached Sharp, but has not made nnv further explanation. The shooting will be thoroughly investigated inves-tigated tomorrow or early next week.
