Show GRIDDERS WORK ALL YEAR AT IDAHO "U" Tear arouiul football practice is the new system that has been put into effect ef-fect at tho University of Idaho, at Moscow, by W. C. Bleamaster, coach, Instead of last Thanksgiving day witnessing wit-nessing the end of gridiron work it simply sim-ply saw- the close of the 101b' season. Preparation for 1017 was started with the beginning of the winter semester. This preparation includes a regular course in football and training work under un-der Coach Bleamaster. for which tho university is giving regular credit?, the same as in history or other subjects. Credits received in the football class will count just as much toward graduation gradu-ation as those received in other studies. The course is open to all students of the university, but is meant especially for all members of the football squad of 1916 and those who expect to turn out for varsity places in 1A17. A general idea of the style of offense; and defense to be used next season by Idaho will be taken up by Coach Bleamaster Blea-master and styles of offense and defense de-fense which may be expected from opposing op-posing lineups aiso will be considered. In addition to the football class Coach Bleamaster has five members of the 191b' team working regularly at kicking in an effort to develop a punter to replace Captain Hays of the 1910 team, who will be graduated in June. The candidates for the kicking job will work throughout the winter and spring and will take footballs home with them for summer practice. |
